MHS Oregon Trivia Contest
MHS started an Oregon Trivia Contest in January. Here are the questions, answers, and winners:	Happy Birthday, Oregon!

Week 13: April 27-30 Question: In what year was the largest sea cave, commonly known as "The Sea Lion Caves", discovered? Answer: The Sea Lion Caves were discovered in 1880 by William Cox. Made of Basalt Rock, it was formed 25 million years ago and is the length of a football field. Week 8: March 16-20 Question: Who was the first European to enter Central Oregon? Hint: The Crooked River's high bridge wayside is named for him. Answer: The first European to enter Central Oregon was Peter Skene Ogden in the fall of 1825. He was the leader of a party of fur trappers employed by the Hudson Bay Company.
