Colonel Renfro	Sergeant Yeager

Our goal is to prepare our students for any situation whether it's a stressful or a simple situation,
and to motivate young people to be better Citizens!

Objectives:

• Develop leadership and patriotism
• Develop informed and responsible citizens
• Strengthen character
• Develop self-discipline, responsibility, and a positive response to constituted authority
• Develop the ability to logically arrange thoughts and communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Develop an appreciation of the values of physical and mental fitness
• Develop the basic skills necessary to work effectively as a team member
• Provide the motivation and the life skills necessary to graduate from Madras High School
• Acquaint students with educational and vocational career opportunities and technical requirements of the modern age.
• Promote a historical understanding of the role of the citizen soldier in a democratic society and familiarize students with the history,
  purpose and structure of the military service.
• Encourage qualified cadets to apply for scholarships, and encourage those who are capable of college-level academics to continue their education.

• Over the month of November, we have been involved in many events including:
  • 11/7/09 Highway cleanup
  • 11/10/09Veterans' Assembly
  • 11/11/09 Travel to the cemetery to put up the main flag; Redmond Parade which our color guard and unarmed teams were in; Help with the Elks' Annual Veterans' Dinner
  • 11/13-15/09 Team Competitions: Guard took 5th place, the Second Color Guard took 6th place, the Precision Air Rifle team took 3rd place, the Unarmed Drill Team took 4th place, David Zamora took 4th place in Men's PT, Aubrey Dahlke took 2nd place in shooting, and Nichole Chartrand took 4th place in Unarmed Expedition.
